Cheers to the ladies!

The month of March brings so many good things like King Cakes for Mardi Gras, more sunlight as we switch to Daylight Savings Time, a good-luck shamrock on St. Patrick’s Day, and the chance to celebrate women’s achievements, raise awareness against bias, and take action for equility this International Women’s Day!  AMTA reports that 86% of therapists identify as female, which means many have had to face inequities along the way and yet they persevere! So, cheers to the women who drive this industry forward, from the educators to the LMTs to the admin staff, we celebrate you! 

This March we also celebrate increasing enrollments, active states, and marketing support!


Program Status Updates

Our education team and compliance director continue to ensure the program is customized to satisfy each states’ requirements. The program is active in Arizona, Alaska, DC, Minnesota, Ohio, and Pennsylvania. Applications have been submitted to the relevant boards in Oklahoma, Florida, and Colorado and Alabama, Illinois, Maryland, Texas and Georgia are next on the list.

General Operations Updates

Our new payment plan is up and running for students! When students enroll in the program, they sign an agreement with the spa owners to receive tuition reimbursement and agree to work in their location for a specified amount of time (usually 1 year). This is the based on the Wage-Scholarship worksheet every spa fills out at the beginning of the program. 

Students are required to pay the tuition in full at the start of their learning journey and we are able to offer them very affordable payment plans, including a new in-house plan that qualifies everyone and has low monthly payments which, once they are licensed, will by covered by the scholarship payments made by the spa. This plan has NO interest, NO credit checks or pre-approval process, NO extra financing fees. This payment plan widens the eligibility of so many people of diverse economic status who are looking to enter into such a rewarding career.

Marketing Reminders

We are thrilled to see the “free massage table” promo worked well to capture some of the students who were originally not quite yet committed to the program. 

If you have started with the program, please make sure to check in with Hand and Stone Marketing regarding what marketing support is available to you. They have created microsites (an additional tab at the top of your location’s page) that explains the program and sends the lead to a form that goes directly to our enrollment team and our CRM responds automatically and immediately. Then the enrollment managers start their process to seal the deal!   


Success Stories

Throughout February, this program has been implemented by more than 45 Hand and Stone locations, an increase from January with more new locations joining every month. There are more than 130 enrolled students supported by generous scholarships and work agreements with Hand and Stone locations that are building their workforce!
